It Had To Be You

I was given an ARC in exchange of an honest review

Actually, It Had To Be You, has 2 stories.

The first one is: Molly Cooper's Dream Date (The Fun Factor #5) by Barbara Hannay

Pacific islander Molly Cooper has house-swapped her way into London's exclusive Chelsea. It's her dream to explore Britain...and meet a perfect English gentleman!Patrick Knight is finding Molly's chatty emails strangely compelling. The onetime city banker thought swapping his London pad for Molly's idyllic cottage would help him write his first novel--but it's not quite working out...

What do you do when you realize the on you want is half a world away, living in "your" home, sleeping in "your" bed...?

This story reminds me of "Holiday" (O amor não tira férias, pt-br) with Jude Law, Jack Black, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.
It is a interesting plot, and has a unique storytelling. I think 70% of the story is told through e-mails and journal´s entries and though this is different, also is a dangerous move, because if it is not well written the reader can't connect with the story and characters.
I felt like it was dragging during most part of the book, and also Molly was annoying with her complaints about Patrick´s "lies". I think what he did was really romantic.

In a general way, I think a lot of people will like, but for me, while it wasn't the worst book, it also wasn't the best.

The second one is: Shipwrecked with Mr Wrong

Marooned in paradise with a beautiful woman……is surely the only way for a truly committed playboy to get shipwrecked! Ideally, however, Rob Dalton would have chosen a slightly friendlier companion! Prickly conservationist Honor Brier clearly just wants to be left alone with her birds and turtles.

Honor's had more than her fair share of heartbreak, and the isolated island has been a perfect place to recover in peace. She has no time for accidental tourists. Yet Rob is charming and infuriatingly attractive—his sheer passion for life is difficult to resist. Slowly Honor is discovering that even playboys may have their good points….

It has a good beginning, the heroine was a Debbie Downer, but I could overlook for a while, then became too much and I just couldn´t overlook it anymore. She was, downright, a annoying bitch.

Unfortunately I couldn't really see a improvement in her behavior and the end felt rushed.
